After completing my formal training in Neurology at the prestigious MS Ramaiah Medical College and the globally renowned NIMHANS, Bangalore, in 2011, I returned to my hometown, Nashik, with a vision to serve my community as a Consultant Neurologist. These institutions are among the most esteemed centers for neurological education and clinical training in India, and they shaped my approach to comprehensive, evidence-based patient care.

During the initial two years of my practice in Nashik, I encountered a significant number of patients suffering from acute strokes, carotid artery stenosis, aneurysms, and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). Unfortunately, many of these conditions were not being addressed adequately, primarily due to the lack of advanced neurointerventional facilities and trained specialists in the region.

Motivated by a deep commitment to improving stroke care and expanding neurological intervention capabilities in Nashik, I pursued advanced training in this niche field. I underwent a one-year Fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology (FINR) at the esteemed KEM Hospital & Research Centre, Pune, in 2013–14 under the expert mentorship of Dr. Anand Alurkar—one of the pioneers in Interventional Neurology in India. This transformative experience allowed me to acquire the skills necessary to provide state-of-the-art care to patients requiring complex neurovascular interventions
