He has undergone a one year Fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology in 2013-14 at KEM Hospital & Research Centre Pune under the able guidance of Dr. Anand Alurkar, one of the pioneer of this field in India.

Dr Shripal Shah, thus is the first and only ‘Interventional Neurologist’ in North Maharashtra and one of the very few Neurologists in India who are formally trained in performing these skillful procedures. He actively performs both diagnostic & therapeutic procedures. He finds his basic training as a Neurologist an immense advantage in managing patients of acute stroke, carotid stenosis, aneurysms and AVM.
